Kathryn Myrea "Kat" Martin, 87, died at 10:44 PM February 19, 2008, at her daughter's residence in Lima. She was born February 10, 1921 in Bell County, Kentucky to the Rev. John (2-2-1895 to 2-23-1979) and Patsy Ann Buell (10-23-1900 to 7-9-78) Williams, who preceded her in death. On August 30, 1944, she married Charles E. Martin, who died March 16, 1993. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker. She loved all kinds of flowers, trees and plants. Survivors include three daughters, Julia Kathryn Bolen, of Ninety Six, S.C., Char Lena Martin, of Bluffton, Ida Lorraine Martin, of Lima, and a granddaughter Renee (Mark) Droll that she raised as her own; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchilden; and six siblings. Jim Tom Williams (5-23-1924 to 2-6-2011), Martha Lovada Beggs (4-25-1922 to 1-27-2013), Andrew Williams (7-28-1935-6-7-2014) and Barb Hoskins, all of Pineville, KY., and Avil Williams (5-12-1937 to 1-1-2015) and Etta Rose Williams, both of Harrogate, TN. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Laura Ellen McCarty (7-28-1950 to 9-20-2002), Mary Lee Martin (1-9-1948 to 10-23-1996) and Coyne Connie Fee (2-15-1954 to 3-13-2007); two sons, Leon James (4-23-1956 to 5-29-2004) and Lonnie Wayne Martin (3-19-1952); and three siblings, Kelly, Cammie, and Woodrow Williams. Services will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Lima Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Terry Brock will officiate. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery.
